Description
Hono Koa is an oceanfront resort in Maui, Hawaii.  There are three types of units at Hono Koa: "Palm", "Hala", and "Koa".  We have the "Koa" unit.  And, there is absolutely no comparison between the "Koa" units and the Palm and Hala units.  The much greater size and immensely superior view of the ocean from the "Koa" units makes them the premier properties at Hono Koa.  The Palm and Hala units are only ocean "view" from the deck, and are only about 1100 square feet.  The "Koa" units are full oceanfront which you can clearly see from all rooms in the apartment except from the guest bedroom and bathrooms, and they are over 1400 square feet in size!  They are huge and comfortably sleep six, and have large windows across the full front of the units, which cover the living room, dining room/kitchen, and the master bedroom.  And, they have patio doors leading to a huge deck from both the dining area and the master bedroom.  The deck overlooks the Pacific Ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai.  The view is absolutely awesome!  You can honestly watch the whales mating right from your deck.  We have traveled to many Five Star Resorts, but have never seen a better view than we have from our "Koa" unit at Hono Koa.  And, it is only five minutes from the world famous Kaanapali Beach.  These Koa units were sold new from the resort for $20,000 per week.  We are only selling because our financial situation requires us to do so. Our timeshare is "floating", which means that you can book any week of the year, and you can book it up to one year in advance.  As stated in this ad, the most recent yearly maintenance fee was $917, and the property tax was $271, for a total of $1188.  However, an oceanfront hotel room costing more than $500 a night does not have the view, size and amenities of a "Koa" unit at Hono Koa.  There are still 33 years remaining on the property lease after 2008, which means that, if you were able to get our "Koa" unit for the minimum bid of $5900, your purchase price would only be $179 per year for your annual vacation week!  And, we are willing to split the closing costs with you!  All fees are paid up to date.  The 2009 fees you would be paying next year, would be for your 2009 week that you would be booking and enjoying.
